2 of the Audi entrants have already crashed and are pretty much out of contention. The #2 car is officially retired, and the other #3 car is some 42 laps behind.

#2 Audi R15 TDI Crash

#3 Audi R15 TDI Crash

The Only R15 in contention right now is the #1 car driven by Kristensen, McNish, and Capello. It's currently in 2nd place, with the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP in 1st, 3rd, and 4th. The Peugeot is about 2-3 seconds faster per lap than the R15 TDI, which is kinda disappointing since last year's 908 HDi FAP was also 2-3 seconds faster per lap than the old R10 TDI.

I'm rooting for Aston Martin anyway... for a podium at least. 🙂

Rain is predicted around dawn. Should be interesting.

Peugeot seems to have 100 more HP then Audi. I was looking and it said that the R10 was 700hp, and the R15 was 600hp. hmm

Audi #1 came in 3rd not too bad. Not as good as 1. but hey lol. They said they had some issues. and don't really know why #2 crashed.

Car #2 seemed really loose under braking and lost the back end.
Car #3 ran a bit wide and being out on the dirty part of the track couldn't brake sufficiently. Looks like a fairly low speed crash though.
