LCDTV max resolution using ATI Radeon 9600 Pro

I recently bought a Samsung LTN226W TFT-LCD TV. I also just recently bought a ATI Radeon 9600 PRO video card. Operating under WinXP Pro. I hooked them both up via a DVI-D cable and that works fine. I was able to change from the default resolution of 640x480 and got it as high as 800x600 (VESA mode), however I can't seem to get it any higher. According to the Samsung Manual the TV is cable of acting as a PC Monitor in a number of resolutions. On the top end its capable of 1280x720 at 60Hz(GTF Mode). It also says "If the signal from the system doesn't equal the standard signal mode, adjset the mode by referring to your video card user guide, otherwise there may be no video. My video card manual says in the LCD resolutions and color depth table that it can produce 640x480, 800x600,1024x768, & 1280x1024. Is their a way to produce 1280x720 out of the video card? Sure seems like a strange ratio to me. Can't believe Samsung would do this intentionally if computers can generate the video at that resolution.

You have to install driver for your Samsung LCD/TV. The 1280x720 is a popular standard for 16:9 TV/Monitor.

IF theres no driver for the TV
download powerstrip
it comes with a number of unusual resolutions that are easy to implement, including 1280x760
after you get windows to recognize it once you'll be all set

Installed powerstrip and now I have 1280x720. Fantastic. This is far better then 800x600 Couldn't get it perfect (some of the colors have artifacts in them - usually the near white ones or very light colors), but its very close.
