greater than that, get 20" or more.

cheapest solutions: dell 2005fpw=>1680x1050 and 2001fpw=>1600x1200.

Really? I haven't seen any 19s that support that (at least not from their specs). Can you give me an example?

never get a 19 inch monitor lcd - the quality is very low since you have to expand a 17 inch native 1280x1024 and make the pixels bigger and grainier. 17 0r 20 inch. but the 20+ inches are the ones that have 1600x1200 and above.

Correct if you want higher than 1280x1024 you'll need to upgrade to a 20" LCD which does 1600x1200 or 20" widescreen at 1680x1050.

seeing as how 17"s are 1280x1024, there really is no excuse for 19"s only supporting 1280x1024....

at the least 19"s really should be at 1440x1080

Do you folks not understand what > means? ;)

But yeah you have to go to a screen >19" for this to work...I don't know why they don't do higher resolution on smaller panels.

15.4" here at 1920x1200 native.

Looks great to my nearsighted peepers too!

It's got a built in security feature. If someone wants to see what's on the screen they have to get so close I would obviously know they are trying to see it! :p

There's a reason I still lug around my 60lbs+ 21" CRT: I like it when my maximum resolution is 1920x1440. Until I can afford a good LCD that can do that resolution or better, I ain't switching.
