I always thought that a 16ms response time was optimal for FPS games 😕

Ive used some 16ms panels, and while theyre *good enough* for games, they are still far off from CRT quality. If saving a little space on your desk is worth it, then by all means go for it, but every time I try an LCD, no matter how fast and newfangled it is, it still doesnt even close to how good my average CRT looks for games.

It really depends on the quality of the monitor and the games you're playing.
On a high quality monitor, you'll probably experience no ghosting on most rpgs, rts, and movies. However, when it comes to fps's, it becomes a little more apparent. If you're playing single player games or you really suck at online multiplayer games, then you'll probably see little to no ghosting. But if you're some CPL prostar who "kicks" with the awp and makes 180 degree turns with their mouse in milliseconds, then yes, you'll probably experience some ghosting.
I pug in CAL and I do experience ghosting on my dell 1704fpv. But it's very easy to get used to (only lasts for a fraction of a second, doesn't really affect game play) and I heard using DVI gets rid of the problem entirely.
