LCD's - How important is pixel pitch?

I'm looking at 19 inch widescreen LCD's. I see there's pretty much two different values for 1440x900 19 inch displays... 0.294mm and 0.284mm. Am I correct in assuming the .294mm one would appear more grainy? Will such a small difference be noticeable if you put them side by side?

I'm considering this one right now... can anyone give me a reason I shouldn't get that one? I'll be using it for office type stuff and gaming... no movies.

Higher pixel (dot) pitch = bigger pixels. It's the distance between the two nearest like-colored pixels (RGB) in the horizontal direction.

How far away will you be sitting? I sit no more than 18" away, so personally I wouldn't get anything bigger than 0.26mm.

Both 19" widescreens should have a .284mm dot pitch. An error must have cropped up somewhere.
