LCDs for the blu-ray era

I am in the market for a new LCD (has to be widescreen), and this vista thing has me confused. My questions for the Anandtech community are:

1) Will we all need new monitors (with the HDCP chip) to play blu-ray media, and/or the UI in Windows Vista?
2) Will DX 10 need these monitors also?
3) If one and two are correct when can we expect lcd manufactures to start making LCDs that support these features?
4) Should Vista even be on the radar of those looking to drop some money on a nice LCD?

1) Only for blu-ray and other similarly protected HD content (assuming it's not cracked somehow); HDCP won't be required just for the GUI
2) HDCP is really only meant for content/copy protection (think movies) - DX10 shouldn't have much if anything to do with prerecorded movies
3) At least one already does (Gateway - their 21" widescreen LCD), as for other manufacturers doing the same, I really haven't heard anything
4) It's something to think about, at least. If you want to watch protected HD content in Vista, HDCP support would be nice to have if it doesn't cost you too much, but I can only think of one computer LCD off the top of my head that supports it right now, and I still haven't seen a review or even anyone's opinions on it. Personally, I bought a 2005FPW in January so I'm hoping there's some way around it or that it doesn't end up being a requirement...
