Hey I am looking at getting an LCD but like to play RtCW and BF 1942. I use the Internet alot so want to get a decent one. I am looking at the Samsung Syncmaster 171s.

Anyone have anything I should know about?
 
I recently got a Planar 19" from Dell. I used it with a GF3 (so non-dvi) and it looked great. Just remember that you need to use all programs at its native resolution (so be sure to have a video card that can run the games you play that high). The ghosting on ther planar is very minimal, and would prolly go away if I was able to use DVI.
 
I just got a Samsung 181T Friday and to say I like it is a big understatement. I LOVE it. I only played about 5 minutes of UT but noticed no ghosting. I have been playing DVD's for a couple pf hours while I do some homework and it is great as well. I like it better than my 900NF and it weighs almost 40 pounds less which is a big factor for me since I am a student and move around a lot. Anyway I would definitely recommend Samsung if the 171s has the same specs as the 181t
 
King, I was looking at those with the DVI since I do have a Radeon 8500. They say the cases were designed by Porche but I like the old monitors better 🙂.

Anyway I will wait to see them in store and then make up my mind.
