i had that happen to my laptop after sitting in a cold car too long


shut the whole thing down and let it rest . if it is cold, let it warm up
then try it again
 
WRONG FORUM!

Looks like its being caused by the graphics card or the LCD's controller board, not the actual LCD itself.
