LCD..Viewsonic VG series any good? LCD General discussion too..

Not much discussion around here on LCD's, I spent a few weeks looking around and talking to an Anandtech user who I respect very much, and he turned me onto the Viewsonic VG series.

I ordered the VG191B and was wondering if anyone around here has this LCD, or had, and what do you think of it?

I'm moving away from two 21" CRT's (Dell P1110 and HS1610) and going to have a 19" LCD and order another 18" one soon. (dunno what 18" model yet)

My main use is day to day browsing, word, excel, email, and some photo editing, video editing with premiere 6, and of course some gaming (flight sims, and a few FPS' like TFC and RTCW).

Can't wait for it! I hope I like it.

Not much around on it though on the web, here, or on some of the other sites.

How about LCD's in general, what do you have, what do you want, etc? Any one have the new Dell 2000FP yet?

My wife has the VG151B, I have a trinitron 20". The LCD is nice, but it has limitations when scrolling a page or playing a fast game, it gets momentarily blurry. The color and 2D desktop is awesome using the DVI connection.

Ghosting's the only problem you might get if you'er frames are high. I've seen them on a few LCD's, and it's ugly. Almost impossible to play fast paced FPS's (for me anyways, i'm really picky about image quality).

I also was thinking of getting an LCD monitor, but haven't really seen much feedback on them. I know that the amount of colors that can be dsiplayed is less vs. a regular CRT, but it's probably only an issue if your really picky about graphics.

The specs match the Planar 19" SXGA one exactly. Great specs too. Are you paying more than $1324.10 shipped? The Dell 20.1" isn't too much from their either, with specs that are very similar, but in UXGA format (I got one of the Dell 20.1" ones for $1229.10).
