LCD users: does this page make your screen flicker??

When I saw your link I thought Kentucky Fried Chicken must have come up with some crazy movies 😛

BTW no flicker here on my laptop or at home on my LCD.

My screens flickers like crazy while scrolling the page. I don't know if it's the LCD or my video card.

I don't either, but it flickers for me.
Not like crazy though; just the dark borders, that's all.

The background is causing the flicker for me. I'm thinking it might have something to do with the color. I'v read some colors on LCD refresh more slowly? I think it was grey or something I don't remember.

Yea... it flickers. There is a stark contrast between the alternating lines, and when you scroll the position of the lines (on your monitor anyway) is changed. The lag is apparent with such a large amount of lines going up and down your monitor, and you see a kind of "mass ghosting". No big deal. Sometimes my monitor doesn't flicker on pages like that... I don't know exactly what's going on then.

I get a small amount of flicker on the background with a CRT. I think its more of optical illusion type thing since that background is just tiny blue/black alternating lines.

Yes, it "flickers" while scrolling.

It's doing that because the pixels on the LCD take time to change from one color to another (pixel response time). As a result, the delay in the change the lines (which are densely packed) to sorta blend in with each other. Try it on a CRT and it will definitely look different. Also, try http://www.orangewhoopass.com for you Astros fans. It has the same effect on the lined orange background.

It is also the reason why words and letters will appear to get "darker" while scrolling (try scrolling a page very slowly). The letters effectively become a pixel "thicker" due to the brief pixel response time. I've noticed this a bunch in Lineage 2, where if you're playing on a LCD and run by people's names or shops, the text will appear to shimmer. It does not happen on my CRT.
