lcd tv's

about 30 minutes ago i was bored made a wishlist involving a rig that totals $17,224. afterwards i found 3 lcd tv monitors. 2 20"s and 1 20.1", ranging from $405 to $439, having the best deal as the 20.1" for $415. would it be worth it to buy these instead of waiting for a special to buy a second dell 2005fpw? it plays tv too. so is this a bonus? worth it? profit?

two 20"s

20.1"

The resolution capabilities are drastically different.

LCD TVs will be great for watching tv, but for computer use they're not going to be nearly as good.

I'm not sure how LCD tvs handle higher resolution, but I'm under the impression that with all LCDs you're going to want to be running them at native resolution for them to look best.

By the way, if I was making a $17,000 computer, I'd be looking at some pretty serious displays compared to these 🙂

LCD native resolution is the max resolution it can do.

The only way you can spend $17,000 on a computer alone is if you build a server, in which case a 15" LCD will be plenty to access the administators control panel.
