LCD TV's that swivel

looking for a 37" or 40" lcd tv that swivels.. i know this a trivial feature, but the sharp and sony l looked at don't do it.. please post any lcd's you know of that swivel.

thanks

Haven't seen a swivel of that size. Doubt you'll find one since the torque exerted on tv that size would require a lot of reinforcement.

My LN46A650 definitely swivels. It's one of those tiny little features you don't appreciate until you have it. We've got a big sectional in our living room that my wife an I will snuggle into the corner of sometimes. It's off center, but with the swivel feature you can adjust for that.

I would have listed that in the features 🙂

I don't need to know what you do in the "corner" 🙂

And there is no flex when you swivel it? Some joint that is.

I said snuggle...not snorgle.

😛

There's a bit of flex in the panel when you turn it. Not a lot though. For the size of the display, it is relatively light. It's under 50 pounds. My 42" plasma was nearly double that.

It is precisely because it is not a heavy set that I worry about. The plasma is not going to flex. It was built a lot sturdier because the sucker is heavy. Not so with LCDs.

Sorry, I should clarify by what I mean when I say "flex in the panel".

At the pivot joint, the entire panel will wobble forward or back a little bit and then settle into place once you stop turning it. The panel itself doesn't flex.

ah, the pivot had too much friction.

It's actually on the description field on the Amazon link I posted. If you go to Samsung's website and look at the LN52A650, it doesn't mention the swivel on it either. And I can 100% guarantee it does swivel.

I believe all Samsung 650 LCDs swivel. My parents have a Samsung 5271F and my friend has a Samsung LN52A650 and both of them swivel. And let me tell you, I don't think my parents will ever consider another TV without the swivel feature. They use it all the time.
