lcd tv with internet under $300

rh71

No Lifer
it will be for an "office" and not a large room like a living room. Must be Netflix-compatible. It seems tough to search given that it needs to be internet connectable. Obviously size is a variable so let's see what $300 can get me. Is LED attainable yet? Are most new tvs internet capable? Within reach of a CAT5 drop if that gets me better streaming - or are they only wifi?

Vizio E322AR

For $330 on Amazon. No clue how good it is.

If you want LED you could step up to the Vizio M320SL. Amazon sells it direct for $398 but its out of stock. The Amazon market place has it for $459+shipping.

Your sub-$300 option is the Toshiba 24SL415

Reviews aren't so hot but then again there aren't many reviews for the other two.

Do you need an actual web browser, or Netflix or Amazon video app?

CAT5 connection will I suspect provide a smoother, less occaisional hiccup type experience versus wireless.

You can google for "Sony Google TV" and just watch for the 32 inch LCD to go on sale, though I think it typically sells for around $400 when on sale. If it's like the Logitech Revue, Sony provided an update that installs more current Android OS on it.

I was thinking of replacing my malfunctioning office tv so I'd get the internet capability built in with a new one. I am probably getting a roku for the living tv later. As for netflix, it can be just the app as long as it works. I hear browsing the internet on a tv is a bad experience anyway.
