LCD TV as a Monitor

All I'm going to say to anyone who is worried about Gaming on a large TV as a monitor, go for it.

I bought a 37" LG 1080p LCD on black friday, and replaced my 27" Asus with it.

Yes text and browsing, etc is not as sharp, but man do Movies and Games look awesome! So impressed.

I sit only 3-4 feet back from it too.

Everything should be sharp if it's set to per pixel mapping

TVs do some weird noise reduction that also needs to be set to PC mode. So picture can be blurry even when you have 1:1 mapping.

That is why virtually any LCD TV has special PC mode for HDMI connection.
