Hi,
I've got about £600 ($900) to spend on a new screen. I'm thinking of going TFT this time. Currently got a CRT Iiyama 17" (Vision Master Pro 411).
Now, my bro's laptop can be really annoying when looking at the screen...i.e. angle wise...you get the usual LCD picture distortions when you look from the right etc etc. The whole screen colour never looks the same all over etc.
If I were to buy a nice High Quality LCD screen, would the usual LCD limitations and problems be apparent? I was looking at a 17" Iiyama in my local computer shop, I dont remember it being difficult to look at from different angles.
Are LCD's really that bad for playing games as people say?
Also, My 17" CRT's is like 16" viewable. Does the same apply with the viewable part on LCD's?
What 17" LCD's would you recommend at this price.
