If youre a gamer, which would be better?
Let say,
LCD A: Rise is 20ms, Fall is 5ms
LCD B: Rise is 6ms, Fall is 19ms
Someone enlighten me! =) >>
I dont have a LCD screen (A 21" CRT does me fine

) but I'll have a go (please tak into account that I'm no LCD expert);
* A high rise value means that object appearing on the screen (or moveing across it) will be faded.
* A high fall value means that objects will leave ghost image accross the screen.
Personally I don't think that 20ms is yet fast enought for a serious gamers (particularly multiplayer games), while 20ms rise/fall translates to ~50fps is not even close to being the same, for example
CRT running at 50 fps.
* 1st image shown on screen
* 2nd image shown on screen, 1st one faded practically instantly so image 2 is 'clear and perfect'
...
LCD running at 50 fps with high fall
* 1st image shown on screen
* 2nd image shown on screen, 1st one takes upto 20ms to fade during which 2nd image is blended with it.
...
LCD running at 50 fps with high rise
* 1st image shown on screen
* 2nd image shown on screen, but appears to fade into 1st image for upto 20ms.

Since even a fast moving object is only going to move a few pixels per frame (<10 ??) which will mean the a pixel is only going to do a full rise/fall on the edges of the object which will reduce the effect. However the effect will still decrease the visual quality of the image as well as create a sort of 'visual lag'.
Another point is that a CRT has a larger colour space than a LCD, colors might be more definded on the LCD, but the range will be lower. You will probably see this as a higher contrast particauly is the bright and dark colours (mid-range should be ok).
