I'm wondering what resolutions and sizes of LCD monitors are out there. Basically, here's what I know so far:
< 14" = ???
14" - 15" = 1024 x 768 = XGA
17" - 19" = 1280 x 1024 = SXGA
20" - 23" = 1600 x 1200 = UXGA
20" wide = 1680 x 1050 = WSXGA+
23" - 24" wide = 1920 x 1200 = WUXGA
30" wide = 2560 x 1600 = ??? (WQXGA+?)
Are there any other resolutions or any other size's resolution (i.e. 19" that's 1600 x 1200 or 17" that's 1024 x 768) that you've seen that's not here? And just what is Apple's 30" monitor resolution (2560 x 1600) called? I'm taking a wild guess that it's WQXGA+, but I got no idea.
I'm only looking at LCD monitors, not notebooks nor TVs.
By the way, I was looking into these naming conventions and apparently if you got 3200 x 2400 of monitor goodness it's called QUXGA. Wonder if that much data fits in 2 cables or if you'd need to go 3.
