Hello all
I'm wondering if anyone has ant experiance with LCD repair. This is a panasonic ZS3. It slowly went dark over the course of a few days. It was hot and I ws guessing sweat and moisture got into it. I dissasembled it and cleaned the connections to the lcd with alchol and a swab. I still get nothing. I do get the backlight and Iknow it still takes pictures so what I'm trying to figure out is did the lcd go bad or did the driver for the lcd go bad. I'd hate to get a new lcd and find it was something else on the mainboard. Anyone have any idea how to check something like this?
Thanks
BRian

Hmmm... not sure what to tell ya.

The backlight and the LCD are separate systems, so it's entirely possible for one to go bad and the other to be ok.

Not too sure on whether it's the mainboard or LCD though. Not under warranty?

hi
Not sure about the warranty. I don't know if humid tropical conditions would void it. I was hoping it was going to be an easy cleanup of the connector but no luck on that.
