i decided which 1 to get
the Viewsonic VX924 19"
now which would be better for gaming the 19" or 17"

i play WoW/cs1.6/css/dods/cod2/bf2/ etc
 
You mean VX724 vs. VX924?

The VX924 would be slightly faster. I'd say go for the Samsung 940b anyway. The VX924 might give you some blurring and discoloration artifacts (it probably depends on the unit but why risk it when there's a monitor with a better interface and panel).
