LCD Question: Does yours whine?

One of my users has a 21" flatpannel from Samsung. She has used it for a couple months and has a rather high pitch "whine". You know the sound like you hear on some TVs. Has anyone else had this problem and is there some way to reduce/remove that sound? It's rather annoying.

I have a 19" and it makes no noise at all.

Mine makes a high-pitched whine when I first turn it on (or it comes out of powersaver mode) but that goes away after about 5 seconds.

We have another Sony here in the office and it doesn't make any noise. I always thought the noise would have gone away after it burned in, but it's still as loud as ever. Maybe I can call Phillips and see if we can warranty this thing.

can't hear a thing here, although its a laptop LCD.

the LCD on my palm zire 71 whines slightly though, if you stick your ear against it you can hear it. and its not the HDD inside or anythign else, its definitely the screen.

my laptop LCD does, and strangely when i'm scrolling down a page in IE for instance, it stops whining.
and then when i stop scrolling, it starts to whine again.
been doing this for well over a year now, no problems except for the whining.
