This problem on my LCD just happened out of the blue after I reformatted my computer.

The best way to describe it is that I have a thin vertical line running through my screen located about 2 inches towards the center from the left frame.
The line looks as if it is cutting my screen and the area to the left of the line is shifted about .5 cm down. Also, if you look exactly at the line it is kind of flickering. At first I thought it was interference of some sort, but I have no magnets or other devices around it.

I have already tried the auto-tune feature on my LCD and it did not solve this problem.

alright, well i just opened up my computer and cleaned it out with the air duster. I even took out my graphics card and got it cleaned off too.

Same results tho :-(

can anyone help me please?
 
You can try updating your chipset, display, and monitor drivers, as well as your BIOS. I doubt it will help though. It sounds like a defective monitor to me. You should RMA it, or take it back to wherever you bought it.
 
If it was a problem with the LCD wouldn't i see problem with lower resolutions?

How odd! It must either be a driver or a hardware issue. Since you reformatted, its most likely that you wiped out the functional driver and your system installed the next best thing. I would expend effort on that front before looking at chipsets, BIOS etc.

It goes without saying to triple check all the mechanical connections...
 
I've disconnected and reconnected this monitor about 5 times so I'm pretty sure all the connections are snug and correct.

I have no idea where to find a driver for this monitor though. I'm thinking that may be a cause for this error. Right now the driver installed for my lcd is the regular "Plug and Play Monitor" (from the win xp cd).
