LCD Problem

I just got home and turned on the monitor, expecting a relaxing evening of some Band of Brothers. When I turned it on, the startup screen that is black with a teal "Acer" in the center of the screen was completely screwed up, all the pixels that were supposed to be black (almost all of the screen) were a light green color. Sure enough, when it went to my desktop it did the same thing and I can barely see what I'm typing right now. I've only had this monitor for about 4 or 5 months, so it shouldn't be going bad already should it? I've never had problems with it in the past, but has anyone had any problem like this with their LCD?

Connected by DVI or VGA?

In either case, have a spare monitor cable?
Or a spare video card?

If you have a consistent color washes, most likely not all the information is getting to the monitor.

alright, i'm starting to think that the monitor is really starting to go bad. I switched cables (analog instead of DVI) and the monitor wouldn't even display my desktop, and if i tap the top of the monitor in the right spot the colors start to go back to normal, but then after a few seconds they go back to the way they were 🙁 Getting ready to call Acer tech support.

I just tapped the monitor again and moved it facing down a little more than usual and the problem seems to have stopped. I'm not really sure what to think of it, hopefully the cable was just loose or something 😕
