I read your wonderful review of the
Dell UltraSharp 1905FP on http://www.anandtech.com/printarticle.aspx?i=2332

Recently I bought a second hand Dell Ultrasharp 1504FP 15" LCD monitor. It seems to have been manufactured in November 2003.
There are some dark patches on the lcd.
Please could you tell me what to do about it.

I will send a picture via email if you could help me

They dont seem like dead pixels . it is just duller than the rest of the display. It is most obvious when viewing a completely white image.

I think i know what you're talking about...my monitor had that too (for black some parts seem lighter than the other)
I did the white balance auto adjust with the buttons on the monitor, and did an auto adjust and it became way better. You might want to try playing with those stuff in the monitor calibration menu (with the panel buttons)
If it doesn't work, then I must concur with bennny up there.
