i received a dell lcd via fedex, it was packaged superbly.

But, when I plugged it in and hooked it up to my video card only the backlight would come on.

The light will shut on and off like it should in the boot sequence, but no video, just the backlight.

Also when I turn it off, the screen almost looks like the tide pulling back off the beachfront.. does that make sense?

I got this from a trader, so Dell warranty is out of the question. Anyone have a problem similar to this or know how to fix it? Thanks

Does your graphics card support DVI?
Have you hooked everything correctly?
If you can't find a solution then call at a service centre?
