LCD Problem.. (2100FP)

About two weeks ago, I purchased a 2100FP for my computer (sig #1). Within the past few days, I have noticed a faint vertical line which appears one pixel wide just off-center of the monitor. I?m not sure if the pixels are dead, because all colors (except black) are just a little off, and only for that line. I am currently using the standard VGA connector, but I have also tried the DVI connection on the monitor with no results. I have also tinkered with the auto-adjust features of the monitor as well.

I guess my questions are (1) Does this describe the condition of dead pixels? (2) If that?s the case, should I try and return it to Dell? I?d rather not do this, mainly because I?m gonna have to pay for shipping and dealing with Customer Support will probably be a pain in the a$$. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

EDIT: Question 2.

had that happen to my first 1800FP a couple years back. It was so irritating trying to tell the Dell rep that I had a bad display. He made me do all this stuff like check my video card, unplug the computer, reboot, etc
