lcd power light flickers

whenever i turn my computer off, the power light on my lcd monitor(vx724 viewsonic) it keeps flickering, to stop it i hold it down and it stops, but it never used to do that until i installed a new hard drive, it still works fine...i dont know whats wrong

another problem, when i go afk and i have my monitor set to turn off after 15 minutes, it doesnt go to the orange light like it usually does, it goes completely off
