LCD/ Plasma TV suggestion?

Hey All!
I'm getting married in July and my fiance and I would like a TV, but we don't want it to be the center of the living area as most TVs are setup in the house. I thought it would be kind'a cool to find something really thin TV wise and mount it to the wall, (probably in a recess) and then hang a picture in front of it.

However there are so many TVs out there that I have no idea what to check out first. Suggestions? Probably something not too big. From 17" to 27".

My thanks in advance for you suggestions!

LCD if it is under 42". Check out the Toshibas or the Sharps. If you want cheap check out the Syntex (SP)

Probably make it easier to get more people in the room so that the wall area that would contain the TV stuffs would house a couch or bench or something like that. Make it feel more warm and non-tv centric vs putting everything circled around/ pointed at the TV. (Even if we do end up watching a lot of TV/ DVDs) it would be nice to hide the TV for when guests come over and we can make the focus people vs the big black box in the middle of the wall. (Plus it just looks cool when you take apicture off the wall and there is a flat screen TV behind it. = coolpoints.)

Put it in the center of the family room instead... problem solved!
