LCD Nicked

I got my new Ben Q 19'' LCD monitor. It looks beautiful except the screen is nicked like it got poked with a needle. It's so bad that when my girlfriend saw it from a distance she thought it was the cursor.

Here's my question, do I RMA it or is that the top layer that I can go to fry's to replace. I'd rather not wait for a new monitor....

Thanks

I have a similar situation.

I just got an NEC 930Sb CRT monitor from Newegg, and there are several small scratches on the top left portion of the screen.
They are pretty faint, but definetly noticable if you're typing or reading in that area. Do you think Newegg would take it back? Is there anything I can do?

If the product doesn't come in "new condition" i.e if there are scratches or a required number of dead pixels etc the you are quite withing your rights to send it back and demand a replacement
