I am new to the world of LCD's as I've been using my Sony 21' CRT for over 10 years...but I'm looking into finally make the jump into LCD's and was wondering about native resolution...I'm a big time gamer...I know that running an LCD lower than it's native resolution will result in less then optimal picture...but I was wondering if it was possible to run an LCD at higher then the native...sort of like the way CRT's can run at pretty much any resolution supported by the monitor
is the native resolution of an LCD the max resolution or is it possible to go higher?...so for example if 1680 x 1050 was the native res, would I be able to play certain games at 1920 x 1440?
