Well i am maticuously looking at LCD's still, and will buy one after my trip i have narrowed it down i belive

SAMSUNG 172T
VIEWSONIC VP171B
NEC 1760NX

does anyone knwo about the NEC 1765? i like the way it looks jsut wondering how it does compared to teh above

Never heard of a 1765. All I can say though, is that I have a Viewsonic VP171B and I'm VERY happy with it. I play FPS games like UT2K3 and Serious Sam and I have yet to notice any major ghosting or blur.

i heard good things about the above 3 but i can t decide!
bah nevermind aboout the 1765 its analog only its really sharp looking too
i preferably want to get on that they sell at compusa becasue i work there... but if not i can handle it


ill probably go with the VS VP171B if it comes with a DVI cable otherwise its a toss up

I got the vp171b from dell a few weeks ago for $465.00 shipped. Very happy with it. It does come with a DVI cable and for me using DVI made all the difference in the world. No ghosting in games, however there is a difference vs. a CRT. I play Q3 a lot and am still getting used to playing on the LCD, but I am glad I made the switch.
