LCD Monitors & DVI question...

Hey guys

I've been looking for a good 17" LCD monitor for some time and I just had a question about LCD monitor's DVI & Analog connections...

Many people said image quality on DVI connector is much better than Analog connector. I found a great deal on Cornea 17" LCD monitor at Amazon for less than $300 with rebates and gift certificate, but it doesn't have a DVI connector... Everything else is now though. 450:1 contrast ratio with 25ms response time. If I get this, will I get a bad image quality since it only uses Analog connection?

Thanks in advance!

No. It was built to take analog so it will look just fine. I had an NEC that had analog only, and it looked just as good as a planar that I also had using dvi.

Here's the thing though. When I used analog on the Planar it looked like crap, worse than the NEC. So it just depends.

The VGA on my Samsung 172T looks better than 98% of the VGA-only screens I've seen in stores.

DVI on this 172T looks even better. Noticeably so.

Whoa that was the fastest replies ever.

Hmmm... so getting another LCD monitor with DVI connector will look better than the Cornea 17" with Analog connector?

I wanna get Samsung sooooooooooooo bad, but it's just so dang expensive. :(
