I am looking for a good 19" lcd monitor to be used for gaming and general purpose computing. How important is it to have a DVI input on an lcd monitor? My video card will have dvi out.

I am considering buying a Samsung 915N which is perfect except for lack of DVI in. Would the Hyundai L90D be a better choice?

thanks

i would only consider getting DVI esp if it is your primary monitor. I would say that DVI is the 2nd most important thing on my list of LCD wants.

1. Resolution
2. DVI
3. Color Reproduction
4. Pixel response
5. Customer Support
6. OSD
7. Price
8. Weight

I like samsung LCDs and due to having great experience with them, I would recommend getting a Dell 19" LCD (samsung panel i believe) esp. when they go on sale (<$350) frequently. Also, if you dont like it for any reason, you simply send it back.
I believe it is the FP1905

High res works better with dvi.. i had 1600x1200 on analog on 2nd monitor.. primary dvi.. i switched to a bfg dual dvi and everything is crisp. Below 1280x1024, dvi did not make a huge difference..
