yours is a NEC, mine is the viewsonic 171b, well worth the $35 more than your nec

Best Buy had clearance on 15" LCD's few months ago, they were like $145.

15" should be under $200

by end of this year, lcd should ship in near volume of crt, and next year lcd will overtake.

for convenience of lcd over crt, some of you are paying twice as much? that's fair price? especially considering that lcd are very common now.

the other thing, is that for the price you're paying, many manufacturers still don't have a 0 dead pixel policy.

prices aren't reasonable imo, so the waiting continues until i make the switch
