LCD monitors and refresh rates???

Hello all

I just got a 17" LCD Monitor and I was wondering what the best refresh rate should be. It is Dell 1702FP which uses Samsung 172T screen. I'm using the DVI connection right now and the dafault is set to 1280x1024 @ 60Hz. I can go up to 75Hz, but on the readme file it says running it @ 60Hz will give the best result. I thought higher refresh rates were better?

LCDs don`t refresh like CRTs so the refresh rate is not important,using DVI @ default 60Hz will be fine.
