LCD monitor with 50ms response time- hopeless for games?

The AOC LM700/ Envision 7100e 17" LCD has a 50ms response time... wondering if that's deadmeat for Quake 3?
It's only $530-$550.

Is it Analog (RGB) or Digital (DVI) Input? DVI will have much less ghosting.

The type of interface used will have no impact on ghosting. I have found that any LCD with a pixel responce above 45ms will show some anount of ghosting.

I would pass on this one if you are doing any kind of gaming.

I would pass completely until they develop the tech to make one which updates quicker than a CRT and looks better.
