LCD Monitor suggestions (sub $300 budget)

I have a sub-$300 USD Budget and would like to buy a reliable/long-life, high-res, and high performance LCD monitor. Size should be 14" to 17", but seeing the prices, probably 15" would be the largest I could get.

Anyone have recommendations?

Thanks

Well I currently have all NEC Multisync CRTs, a 15", 17", and a 19". The 19" is great but it takes too long to power up and power off, it takes a bit long to refresh the screen at times, and its heavier than my 27" CRT TV.

The 17" is starting to lose the anti-radiation tint and parts of it are reflective now. The 15" is being used by another PC.

Anyhow I have to move and for my new desk I would like a smaller monitor (than 19"), be light, and high perf.

Maybe a 15" or 17" CRT or a small/slimline 19"-21" monitor???

Reliability, performance, and resolution are important to me. Thanks!

If you have a Sam's Club membership they have a NEC 15" LCD for $257. It has a 30ms response time but you won't get any better than that at the sub $300 range. The rest of the specs are good. It would be a good monitor provided you don't do a lot of gaming.
I would also recommend the Dell 1504fp but it is $349 . You may want to wait for Dell to run their hot deals.

PCWorld gave them billing in the Top Ten LCD monitors.

I'll check out the NEC 15", but from what i heard ppl were unimpressed by the LCD5V
