I was doing a bit of research, and these are my two choices:
AG Neovo F419 (R12)
or
BenQ FP91G+
So he's the tossup, same pricerange, and since I can't find a nice 17" 8ms with DVI for a reasonable price and these two are in the price range these are what it has come down to.
The AG Neovo specs state 16.7m colors, but does not specifically state an 8-bit panel. Still, it looks good over all. Downside is that it's a 12ms panel.
The BenQ on paper looks good, but it is a 6-bit panel. It does sport 8ms though. The nice thing that BenQ has going for is is that it's a 3 year warranty with a 1-year 48hr hot-swap program. Not too bad. But it is a 6-bit panel...
Basically, I'm going to be using it for World of Warcraft, web browsing, an occasional DivX clip and general use. One of the big things is that I am a bit of a videophile when it comes to color quality, which is why I question going with the BenQ. Still, it will be on DVI, so anything will be better than my aging Samsung 950p.
Opinions? My budget is <$300. I'd prefer to go as close to $200 as possible, even if it means 17" since the resolution doesn't change any with size. But it must have DVI, and be suitable for occasional FPS-style gaming too.
