I have a old 15 inch LCD monitor, that is no longer in production by the manufacture. I lost my power supply, in the process of transporting my stuff home from school for the summer. Im looking to purchase a replacement one but cant seem to find one that fits the power ratings as listed on the back of the website on on any dealer websites.

on the back the ratings on the power supply are as follows 12VDC 2A

the closest one i can find is this one Linky

will having more AMPs burn out my monitor? or should i only be worried about not having enough amps?

As long as the connector has the proper polarity, you'll be fine. The link is dead s I cannot see what you found. It is always ok to replace a 2A 12VDC with a 4A 12VDC supply, for example.

Cheers!
