LCD Monitor Reccomendations??

Anybody have some LCD monitor reccomendations for me? My old trusty monitor that i have been using for the last 6 years finally broke and it's time to get a new one.

I do a little of everything on the computer so I need a good all around LCD screen. I play some games, do photoshop stuff, edit videos, hang out on messageboards, etc... on the computer. I choose to get an LCD because as a college student it will be much easier to move around then the heavy CRT I have now.

I currently have a Iiyama 17" vision master pro and I have to say it was a great monitor. I ran it through the BNC connections in the back and the quality looked great to me.

I've been looking at the IIYAMA ProLite E431S-S ( http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=24-172-043&depa=1 ) and it seems to be a good montior with a low responce time and good resolution. I run in 1024 x 768 right now, so going up to the monitiors native resolution of 1280 x 1024 shouldn't be a problem i figure.

My video card is low end though as it's only a GeForce 2 400/mx that I bought 3 years ago. I hope that won't hurt my picture quality in any way. I hope to get a new video card in the future sometime that has a DVI connection, though it won't be a top of the line $300 video card as I'm not that big of a gamer.

So anyways, is the IIYAMA ProLite E431S-S a good LCD monitor for the price or $407 @ newegg? Could I get a better monitor somewhere else? I want to stay in the $400 range if i can.

Thanks for the help!

My dad has a 21" Iiyama CRT, its a great little (heh) monster.

My favorite 17" LCD is the NEC MultiSync LCD1765. It had the best picture out of all the LCDs I've looked at, both at Staples and at Best Buy.

I know a guy who has a Viewsonic VP171b and really likes it - he does photoshop and games and stuff. The VE710b was also advertised on Viewsonic's site, I guess it's new.

Spend a little more cash and pick up something with a DVI port and is good for gaming. The HITACHI CML175SXWB & 174 (no speakers) are solid choices @ $445 shipped.
