LCD monitor on older video card

Quick dumb question.
I built my pc 8 years ago.
I have replaced the video card with one made by Asus.
The video card has the old style analog monitor connector.
If I bought a lcd monitor can I connect the lcd to the video card?
Previously I had a ATI video card that had a built in tv tuner and If I remember right the old monitor I had connected to the ATI card with a adaptor supplied by ATI.
I would like to just buy the lcd monitor and connect it. The pc is used as a backup and extra pc and has 4 hard drives that I store pics and video of the grandkids If I can use a lcd monitor then I will shop for a monitor.

Yeah, you are looking for a monitor with D-Subminiature, or often just called VGA. Pretty much every monitor still has them, the cheeper LCDs only support D-Sub, and most monitors even come with the cable.

Just get a cable with VGA on one end and DVI on the other at monoprice.

Most LCDs have dsub and dvi.

I haven?t bought a monitor in over 10 years and need to get me sum edimucation on them newfangled devices!! LOLOL
The monitors I have been using are 19 and 21 inch Veiwsonic monitors we used at work. Company updated every few years and bought spares. I would get a spare that was never used for my home use.
