I bought this monitor from Newegg about a month ago.
When scrolling on AR15.com quickly I see flashes of Magenta, only on AR15.com I think it has to do with the light background. I've also noticed when scrolling smoothly I can see text ghosting. This thing has a 2ms response time and find this to be inexcusable, correct me if I'm wrong.
I understand the fallacies with the reponse time but I still should not have text ghosting.
Now this is where it gets strange and indicates a problem. When I turn AMA off which is basically lowering the voltage so the pixels respond slower, both problems above either cease to exist (magenta issue) or are almost unobservable but I notice more blurring in games, where I don't notice any abberations in games while AMA is on.
Sounds like an AMA problem. Any help or insight?
Fuggin' weird!
Changed display drivers, after browser change yielded no difference and now I still have ghosting while AMA is on but things are tinted cyan while scrolling instead of magenta....
It's not like the whole screen turns the color just a tint shows up.
I tested my g/f's crap Dell monitor and it doesn't ghost on text this bad... hers is like a blurring black... this is like a true ghost, whitish halo of the test trailing behind when scrolling smoothly.
ETA: If you scroll just right and read fast... you can read the text the ghosting is so bad when black letters are used on a grey background.
ETA2: Friend actually packed up the computer so I couldn't test it out on his computer but when I adjust the brightness/gamma in the Nforce drivers it changes from cyan to red on AR15.com.
ETA3: Just tested in Word using a grey background and the ghosting was just as bad, so it is completely unrelated to the browser/AR15.com specifically. Just happened to occur there due to forum layout.
ETA4: Just did some experimenting with DVI/VGA input, issues are the same on both. Althought the magenta/cyan issue doesn't seem to be quite as noticeable.
