LCD Monitor is not showing anything..

I have a LCD monitor that blinks on for a moment whenever the monitor is powered on, and then goes black, not dim. It shows the screen for a brief moment on computer startup and then just when the windows logo shows up in boot process. Almost seems like when the computer refreshes the drivers.

Any thoughts on what might be wrong with it? It is a NEC1760VM.
