LCD Monitor for Vision-Impaired

What is the best LCD monitor for vision-impaired individuals who primarily use business applications (excel, word, tax software, internet searches, etc) and need maximum text size? No interest in gaming or videos. Would a 19" standard monitor be better than a 20.1" widescreen? Any suggestions or reference links on setup to maximize text size with minimum distortion?

you should try using accessibility tools in windows instead of changing the resolution from the native 1280x1024 or whatever it is. Then you won't have distortion.

lcds have higher resolutions so texts are smaller so a 19inch crt at 1024x768 will be best, But it want to spend more money you can get a 20.1 LCD and put it at 1024x 768

A 20.1" with 1600x1200 resolution should work very well by running it at lower than its native resolution.

My Dell 2001FP has an excellent picture running at either 1024x768 or 1280x960. It can also run prefectly at 800x600 if those are still too hard to read.
