Hi all, I have a PS3 and running it on a Samsung 26 HD Tv and it is only capable of running at 720p. I"m looking for suggestions on a LCD momitor. 24 or 26 inch capable of full 1080 P. I will use it also for my PC . I"m still running a CRT on the PC. Does anyone have any good suggestions? Thanks in advance.

GO DELL.. I own the 3007wfp, Sadly it does not have an internal Scaler, HOWEVER, the new 3008wfp "GOD OF ALL MONITORS" does and will work flawlessly with a ps3 "hdcp, scalar, all the jazzy hookups u need.

the 24" model is also good BUT the resolution is only 1920x1200 "FULL HD" still but not the 2560x1600 that is awesome,, once u've seen 4megapixels u'll never go back.

Stay away from the 26. picture looks grainy compared to the 24

either the 24 or the 30

Oh, and make sure it is at least 8-bit. I don't mean to say 6-bit is bad, because I use 6-bit for PS3/PC/360 setup, but some people just need 8-bit.

How to tell if it doesn't say;
16.7 million colors = 8-bit
16.2 million colors = 6-bit

I'm currently using a Westinghouse L2410 and it works great for my PS3/360/PC setup. HDMI and Component hookups (PC hooked up to VGA), as well as several others.

Thanks for all the responses. In the Dell line the 24 in would be the 2408 or something else? Thanks

A 2408 is pretty "affordable" at $600-$700 depending on the sale. I have the 2407, it's an excellent monitor, especially after they fixed a bunch of things with the 2408. I run my PS3 off of it at 720p through component cause my computer is hooked up to the DVI. Everything looks reasonable at 3 feet away, but if you bother to sit an extra foot or so back, all the jaggies melt away and the image is amazing. Oh, and I only sit 3 feet away cause I don't want to move my chair, not cause the image is too small any further.

Whatever you get needs to support HDCP, always. This is a well-documented fact.

Just FYI 99% of games are not native 1080p but upscaled by the PS3.. but BluRAY movies are of course

Well I have give it a lot of thought and I"m considering this monitor,
SAMSUNG ToC T240HD Rose-Black 24" 5ms HDMI Widescreen HDTV Monitor 300 cd/m2 DC 10000:1 Built in DTV Tuner & Dolby Digital Surround Speakers - Retail
HDTV monitor w/ built-in digital TV tuner.
