LCD Monitor For Gaming

Looking to get a new monitor for my son for his birthday.

Is the above monitor worth the price for gaming...not so concerned about the 3d as he will probly never use that.

Is the 120Hz worth it for the extra $70 for the monitor.

If not I will just grab a $160 monitor....just wondering if the extra cash is worth it for 120Hz

He plays mostly shooters.

The short answer is "yes" if you want to eliminate ghosting/blur while gaming. There's a lot of info out there on this point, but maybe start here and/or here? Personally, I vote "yes."

That's not a bad monitor. I use to use oit until i had to let my brother borrow it. I couldn't wait to get it back so i went with a 27" 120Hz Asus
