I have had this Hitachi monitor for about 2 years now and just out of the blue my monitor started to flicker on and off as if it wasn't able to get any power. Right when I turn it on the problem starts, it'll flicker on and off continuously and the power button would turn from green when on to orange when the screen is black.

I was wondering maybe there isn't enough power getting to the monitor or is it about time I got a new monitor.
 
hmm, sounds like it may be on it's way out, but it could also be the video card, or cable. Have you tried this monitor on another PC, or tried another monitor on yours?
