LCD Monitor competibility with External TV Tunner

I have an external TV tuner box(Frontech) which I am using with the my 15" samsung CRT monitor to view TV and play games with my PS2(without using the CPU). Right now I am planning to go for a 17"/19" LCD monitor.

Will my current external TV tuner work fine with 17"/19" LCD which have far higher resolution than my current CRT.

Note: My TV tuner take VGA only,no DVI
 
Analog TV has a native resolution of 480 lines (NTSC) or 576 lines (PAL). The rest (scaling quality etc.) will be up to the monitor, unless that TV box brings its own scaler unit.
