LCD Moniter Question

I'm new to LCD monitors, I've purchased a KDS 17" LCD monitor, it only has the regular cable to connect to the video card, but my ATI card has a DVI monitor connector, can I use the connector that came with the card to connect the monitor to the DVI port?

Any help appreciated.
