is it possible? My friend has 867mhz 12inch powerbook and he came to me wanting a new pc. AFter asking and finding out that everything works fine, nothing is slow, its nice and light I ask WHY he wants me to build him a pc. His reasoning: He wants to type on a desk with a keyboard

So i told him it'd be better to get a nice LCD, and a logitech MX Duo...but that leaves me wondering...

" To drive an external display, you must attach either a monitor dongle or a TV (composite and S-Video) dongle. "

I was hoping of a DVI connection on that laptop and then plugging in a nice Laptop. But what does this mean....I cannot? Or apple has propietory moniter connections, or what?

Could anyone clear this up for me, because on apple's site it does say the laptop has a DVI connction, but thta is for the 1.33Ghz G4 with 60 gig HD (he has the 867 Mhz version with 40 gig HD)

Thanks!

There is no space to fit a full DVI or VGA connector on the 12" PowerBook. Because of that it has a mini connector.

White iBooks and the PB867 have mini-VGA. PB1GHz and up have mini-DVI.

The PB867 comes with a mini-VGA to VGA adapter. So you friend should have one in the box.

PB867 also has Bluetooth. Apple makes a nice BT keyboard and a mouse. If he wants two buttons perhaps there is a compatible 2 button mouse out there. If you find one I'd like to hear about it.

that seems to be a adapter for a VGA connector....is there one for a DVI?

As for the mouse, no problem~

No, there's not one for that specific laptop. It's no big deal though, you can still use a VGA connection with most LCD panels, and the quality will be about the same.
