Hi all, Im a noob here and first of all i must say having read some of the posts there are a lot of very helpful and technical experts here.
My issue is that I have a Dell XPS 720 with a 22inch LCD monitor that has both DVI and analogue connections (thats white and blue connections) Since I got the machine, Ive always used an analogue cable with a DVI adaptor to connect to my pc, as the graphics card is GeForce GTX 8800 with dual DVI connections.
the other day I decided that I wanted to use digital rather than analogue to play my games and watch TV, and to, you know, use the power of the machine to enjoy HD. So what I did was use the DVI to DVi cable that was supplied with the machine to hook up to the White connecton on the monitor. Everything now looks blueish and I cant see any reds. What is going on here? I tried messing around with the monitor settings to no avail, however when I use the monitors lcd conditioning setting, i can see red amongst other colours when it does its conditioning thing.
So can anyone have an idea im totally lost? Please help me before I trun back to the bluse analogue side.
Thanks heaps in advance. Thanks mates.
